What To Do

What To Do.jpg

With as much as Trinity County has to offer, you own preferences are the only limits on what is possible. We have world-class river, mountain and lake activities, art galleries, historic destinations and museums. Here are a few suggestions for you. Other great resources include the Weaverville Chamber of Commerce 530-623-4454www.trinitycounty.com and www.weavervilleinfo.com

Shopping along Main street

From specialized bead and yarn shops to the eclectic Weaverville Hotel Emporium, the shopping along Main street is an entertaining afternoon. Be sure to duck into the Olson’s Stoneware shop and the super chic Main Street Shoes.

Hiking, Mountain Biking

The Trinity Alps boast some of the most spectacular hiking you will find in the North State. Crystal granite lakes tucked along gorgeous trail systems will take your breath away. Stop by the Chamber of Commerce for a trail guide. Page 38 of the 2013-14 Recreation and Visitors Guide is a great place to get started.

Art

Main Street Gallery, Barking Mad Art Studio, Our Space Gallery and the Highland Art Center are among the places to view spectacular pieces by local artists. Note: They have limited hours and mostly cater to the Art Cruise on the 1st Saturday of every month.

Wine Tasting

Award-winning wines are only a short drive from Weaverville at gorgeous wineries tucked into mountain valleys. Most offer free tastings and have areas to enjoy picnic lunches. Here are some websites to get your search started:

One Maple Winery

Alpen Cellars

Buttercreek Ranch

R. Merlo Estate Vineyards

Meredith Vineyards
